Zoflora's Hidden World of Bacteria
2015 has taken off with a great start at Mosquito, the Manchester and Cheshire digital brand communications agency. From 4 nominations at the start of the year including 'Best Small Agency' for 3 consecutive years, we are delighted to see two major projects be recognised with 'Game of the Year' and 'App of the Year' by the Prolific North Awards.
The agencies experience in delivering e-learning and multi-platform mobile applications, Mosquito were selected by Cambridge University Press to develop their flagship Grammar in Use brand. Developed with an extensive content set, including thousands of activities, the app was built across iOS, Android and Kindle Fire for global distribution across 14+ global app stores.
Zoflora the fragrant disinfectant brand, challenged Mosquito to develop a creative and strategic Facebook app to engage their consumer audience and reach further to increase adoption of the brand. The result delivered a creative, challenge-based game mechanic to allow consumers to understand the need for a disinfectant. Avoiding well-trodden cliché's of super heroes killing germs, the creative team devised a game where the consumer plays the nasty bugs! Controlling the spread, multiplication and creating hazards across the household, the consumer could see 'first-hand' just how necessary a disinfectant is for the home.

The Prolific North Awards celebrate excellence and recognise and reward outstanding campaigns and exceptional talent in the creative and media industries across the North. The awards feature 23 categories and are judged by a high-level and independent judging panel. The awards take place 30 April 2015.
